Neveah was fuming. She had just calmly left her house, and wanted to be alone. Her mother was stopping her at every turn as she tried to help the war against the growlers. As she left the ornate interior, her mother had called 'Your just a child! You oughtn't have to fight others' fights!' she wanted to help. Her mother didn't understand. No one did. Walking alone the road, the sunshine a warm glow on her pale skin. Taking a deep breath she calmed her nerves. She fingered the braids in her hair. They were delicacies, something she neither wanted nor needed. She longed for adventure. She had only just returned home, and was back to a boring noble's daughter's life.
Leaning down she trailed long, slender fingers through the warm, fragrant water. It was a small pond, quiet and beautiful. She liked that. She contemplated what she was going to do now. She wanted to help fight the Growlers. Other Elves where helping fight, but her mother is making her stay. She fingered the ornate dagger that hung at her hip. Its blade, cool and smooth, was reflecting light in flashes. She sighed, letting the silence flow over her tense, slender body.

A thin elf man rode along on a small, dapple gray mare. He pulled up beside the girl and dismounted. He took a few steps towards her. "Leno, cigl." He extened an arm to her, and the girl saw the band around his arm, marking him as an ambassador. "Ee ane Kilsoin."

On her feet now, she noticed that she was about 2 inches shorter than him, and she took in his fine clothes, her head bowed respectively.
Now that she was calmed down, Neveah thought about what she was going to do when she got home. Leave? or stay..? she was unsure of her path.

He smiled. "I am an Ambassador for Queen Ginevair. You seem unsettled, child. Would you like to come with me to the palace?" He placed a hand on his mare's neck. She nickered and nudged his shoulder.

Neveah's eyes widened. The palace sire? Biting her lip she looked down at her feet. Unsure, she fingered one of the folds in her skirt. She knew saying no would be rude. Bedsides, she did long for adventure. Raising her head, her violet eyes determined, she said I would be honored, Ambassador. she wondered about the invitation... why was she] being invited?

He smiled and swung onto his horse. "Come, then." He held out his hand for her. The mare tossed her head and whinnied, itching to run. He smiled wider and patted her neck, then helped Neveah swing up behind him. "Hold on to me!" He kicked the horse and they galloped off towards the shining walls of Linsameer Palace, the home of Queen Ginevair.

Smiling she raised her head toward the beautiful palace. She had been there before, with her mother and father, but never personally, not as a personal guest of someone. Her long hair streamed out behind her, she looked around. Last time she had been there, it had been packed with elven guests. It had been so long ago.. all she could remember that it was before the horrid war which had taken up much of her life. As they came to a stop, she slid off gracfully, drinking in her surroundings.
