Janet hovered Klinsa above the mountains. The green and gold Whiptail was only too happy to obey. Her rider brought her down to a small hut, where she unbuckled her legs and vaulted out of her saddle. She took the reins and flipped them over her dragon's neck, then walked inside the hut. She found a ton of equipment, meant for one thing. Dragon catching. Andas Janet walked out, she heard wingbeats from the distance. She took a cellphone(yes, where she comes from they DO have modern things) and dialed something. She raised it to her ear. "I need some help..."
Tup swooped down onto a ledge. Nightflier dropped down towards the forest and disappeared into the trees. Sky veered upwards and was soon lost above the clouds. The huge black female opened her wings and drifted lazily down towards a favorite clearing of hers. But as she landed, she realized something was wrong. There was a green dragon here, with golden wingtips and a white blaze. And she was harnessed. A human female stood by her side. Tup flared her wings. She knew this female. She was a dragon catcher. She opened her jaws to roar for help when several more harnessed dragons dropped from the sky, with men on their backs. One tossed a heavy chain around her neck and pulled her head down, while the woman ran forward and stood just in front of her. She snarled and snapped at her, stretching her neck out, but another chain came around her neck and dragged her back. As she opened her mouh to shoot flame, another man, surprisingly quick, leaped onto her back and scrambled up her neck, then snapped a heavy metal band around her mouth. He locked it in place, then jumped down. Tup flared ehr wings, beating them, trying to blow the humans away. Two more men jumped onto her back and, with strangely gentle hands, pulled her wings back in. They were careful not to hurt them, simply pulled them closed. Then they took thinner, but still strong, chains and tied them shut. She could probably break them when they got off and stopped putting extra strength behind them, but not while they stayed put. The woman stepped forward and touched her muzzle. She lunged forward with a foreleg, but another chain reached outwards and pulled it back, making her fall on her chest. Men rushed forward and slid caps over her talons, on all feet, then the woman stepped forward again. She gently stroked Tup's sleek black muzzle. The she-dragon snorted and snarled through the muzzle, but she simply stepped back, then over to the side and looked at her.
Janet stepped to the side of the beautiful black she-dragon. She looked a bit like a cross between a Nightshooter and a Whiptail, but bigger. And she had strange eyes. They were a fierce violet, but she could tell they could be warm. She stood right beside her head, one hand on her cheek, and looked into her eye. The she-drake breathed heavily and smoke came in thick coils from her nostrils. One foot lashed out, but the caps on them were soft of the outside, so it didn;t hurt. She smiled faintly and kept stroking the she-dragon. The men stepped to their dragons, knowing this was an important part of the catching. The she-dragon lashed her tail angrily, but stopped lunging with her talons. Janet smiled again, then from her belt took a chain halter, lined with wool. She slid it over the she-dragon's head, while the men kept it down with the ropes. She shook her head fiercly and glared at Janet. She snarled again, and more smoke came from her nostrils. Then a man stepped forward, attached another chain to the halter, and they slowly led the dragon towards Klinsa. The Whiptail hummed reassuringly to the dragon, then turned to allow them to attach the chain to a ring on her saddle. They did, then Janet mounted and buckled herself in. She nodded to the men, and the two keeping her wings closed immediately leaped off and aay, running to their dragons. They all mounted and took off, but Janet and Klinsa stayed for aa moment, as the dragon dug her capped talons into the ground and glared.
